Down On the Ground
A Caregiver & Child Music Summer Camp for Ages 1–3
Toddlers do their best learning close to the ground.
On hands and knees. On wobbly feet. Through tiny reaches, brave tries, and joyful movement.
This is the season when your child is discovering what their body can do—how to crawl toward curiosity, how to stand and try again, how to move through the world with growing confidence. Every squat, stretch, and tumble is meaningful learning.
Down On the Ground is a gentle, nurturing summer camp designed especially for toddlers ages 1–3 and the caregivers who walk beside them. During the second week of June, you and your child will share music-filled mornings that honor this tender stage of development—supporting confidence, coordination, communication, and connection in ways that feel natural, joyful, and unrushed.
The Theme: Down On the Ground
This camp invites you and your child to slow down and notice the world from where you are—close to the ground.
Together, you’ll follow your toddler’s lead as they hop like bunnies, crawl like caterpillars, scamper like squirrels, and listen closely to the sounds of footsteps, crickets, and playful voices. Through songs, fingerplays, imaginative movement, and hands-on exploration, your child’s natural curiosity and sense of wonder are nurtured—while your steady presence helps everything feel safe, connected, and doable.
The musical experiences gently support:
- exploring high and low sounds
- playful and silly vocal expression
- listening and responding through sound and movement
- discovering cause and effect through instruments and materials
All learning happens through play, repetition, and joyful connection.
Toddlerhood is full of brave attempts, big feelings, and beautiful growth.
Down On the Ground offers a space where your child can explore the world close to the ground—supported by music, routine, and your loving presence—just as they are.
At a glance
$90 per child (a $30 nonrefundable deposit will be charged to reserve you child's spot, remaining $60 will be charged June 1)

What your toddler will experience
Each camp day follows a predictable, calming rhythm
Your child will:
- move close to the ground through crawling, rolling, hopping, stretching, and climbing in developmentally supportive ways
- explore sound through singing, instruments, and playful vocal expression
- imitate animals and creatures found at their feet—bunnies, caterpillars, bugs, and more
- experience repetition that builds comfort, confidence, and joy
- enjoy snack, craft, and unstructured playtime as part of a relaxed, connected morning
Activities are intentionally simple and sensory-rich, allowing your toddler to learn through movement, imitation, and shared experience—without pressure to perform or “do it right.”
